Master Trivia Bar List

So, for those of you who don't know what I'm talking about (how in the hell did you find this page?) here is the rather weak explanation:
Bar trivia games vary from site to site, but in general they take about 2.5 hours to play with about 20 general knowledge questions from a variety of categories. Games are hosted by a DJ who plays music, typically one song between each question, to both give you time to think, and time to drink more beer. After all, that's why bars host the games: they want your money.
Prizes also vary, but top prizes rarely top $50. And they give it to you in gift certificates, "house cash", or some other form of non-transportable wealth. Again, our hosts aren't dumb, they want to keep that money in house.
Sometimes you get a free t-shirt.
Why bother?
You have to try it. You'll either like it or you won't, but there is little for me to complain about. I like trivia, I like bars, I like beer. And it beats the hell out of prime time TV.

How many bars do you need? Well, formats differ, DJ's are widely variable, sometimes you want pizza instead of a burger... Besides, having a choice of nights and places helps if you're trying to get a group together.
Most of the following bars have been visited, tested, and 'approved'; Others have merely been identified off the internet as likely candidates that I need to get out to sooner or later.
Of course, your standards may be different from mine. A couple of companies in town have websites; get the info direct:

Trivia event listings from our friends at Creative Loafing, which should take care of most of the others.
Ask your servers and bartenders if they have any events like this scheduled; there are a lot of places that either run their own or get by with a small one-man trivia operation.
